Meet the Coach

Coach Paul Mobley is a 1990 graduate of Seymour High School, Tennessee. Following his four years of high school soccer, Mobley advanced to an additional four years of play at the collegiate level at Berea College, Kentucky. After completing his degree in 1996, Mobley played four seasons on an adult  team with the Knoxville Metro Soccer League. He still plays in the summer months whenever he can.

Mobley began coaching at The King’s Academy in 1997. In his seven seasons of coaching girls’ soccer, his teams have a record of 50-49-6. During his tenure, seven players have earned college soccer scholarships. In Mobley’s fifteen seasons of coaching boys’ soccer, his teams have achieved a record of 144-81-20. Nine of Mobley’s players have advanced to play at the collegiate level.

On his coaching philosophy, Mobley states, “My goal is to give my teams the best chance to win while building confidence and character. I prepare a brief devotion for my players for almost every game. In an effort to help my players make it to the next level, I prepare highlight tapes, write letters of recommendation, and seek out college coaches. Each season, I make it a priority to explain the importance of every player on the team. I want to instill team unity and good sportsmanship in all of my players while maintaining our game winning mentality.”
