TKA Middle School Tennis

My name is Coach Adam Hall. I’ve been coaching tennis at The King’s Academy for five years. I played high school tennis at Marion Senior High in Marion, VA and college tennis at Concord University, NCAA Division II school in the WVIAC in Athens, WV.  I had an outstanding coach at Concord–Bob Brown. Under Coach Brown’s instruction and leadership is where my desire to one day coach myself was formed. I believe my relaxed and easy going coaching style is a direct result of those years with Coach Brown. As the good Lord would have it, I have been able to accomplish that dream at The King’s Academy.

In my time at TKA we have achieved a few milestones. In 2010 we had our first undefeated Lady Lions tennis team; and Christine Gwodog becoming our first TSAA Division II-A Girls State Tennis Champion. Then in 2011 Christine finished 3rd at the state tournament. Christine has since gone on to play for Prairie View A&M on a full scholarship in Texas.

I love seeing kids fall in love with the game of tennis. It is truly a lifetime sport that they can enjoy well beyond their years at school. With enough determination and desire I can teach them the game and develop that appreciation.
