TKA Lions Middle School Football Team Defeats Grace Christian Academy 14-8
The King’s Academy Lion’s middle school football team extended their winning streak to three games as they defeated the Grace Christian Academy Rams 14-8. In an old-fashioned, slug fest the victory came as a result of sheer determination. Offensively we were able to move the ball with relative success, only to find our drives stall due to penalties. After a scoreless, first half, the Lions answered the call to play up to their potential, taking the first drive of the 2nd half all the way into the end zone.
After Grace scored and converted their 2 point play, our defense rallied. Defensive stand-outs Sean Moore, Cody Blazier, Aaron Smith, Zach Rollar, and Jake Weekly made crucial stops that allowed our offense to get the ball back. Isaiah Jeffers did the rest, taking a screen pass thrown by Jacob Hoffman 60 yards for the lead yet again. From then on, the Lions had all the momentum and sealed the victory. Our final game is in two weeks at Gatlinburg-Pittman. We hope to see you there! Go TKA Lions!
