Congratulations to the Class of 2013



Thirty-five students representing 7 countries received their diplomas in an evening ceremony on Friday, May 17, 2013. After a crowd-pleasing valedictory address of gratitude from senior Sam England and the presentation of the Hubert B. Smothers Awards to seniors Jacob Higdon and Joy Lynn Lyon, student Josiane Umulisa of Kigali, Rwanda shared an international perspective of her educational experience during her time at The King’s Academy. This year’s graduates received a challenge to live for Christ as they continue their education delivered by keynote speaker H. Dean Haun, President of the Tennessee Baptist Convention and current pastor of First Baptist Church of Morristown. Scholarship offers for this year’s class total $835,600.
