The 2015 TKA Lion’s Pride Athletic Booster Candy Guess Game seems to get bigger and better each year! This year’s goal of $3,500 was surpassed by $277 bringing the total to $3,777 raised for TKA athletics! The TKA family along with the Seymour community supported the athletic department with strong participation in the candy game for the third year in a row! The Lion’s Pride invited participants to guess how many gummy worms were in an odd-shaped jar for a chance to win three prizes. In addition, participants guessed how many Skittles were in another jar just in case the need for a tiebreaker was to arise. Hundreds of guesses were made and three individuals gladly accepted awesome prizes!
For the first time ever, three people tied for the closest guess. The actual number of gummy worms in the jar was 358; the tying guess was 357. The Skittles tie breaker was also close, but in the end, grand prize winner Chris Marrero of Seymour received the Green Egg grill. Second place winner and TKA parent Jenny Cook won two UT football season tickets, and third place winner and Knoxville resident Andrew Bailey took home the jar of 358 gummy worms!
The Lion’s Pride once again thanks everyone for supporting TKA Athletics!
