Summer Rewind Series: June 27, 2016
The King’s Academy brought home winning results from the 2016 Roane State Academic Festival in April 2016! Students from 29 schools throughout the region came together to compete in various subjects and art forms. Congratulations to the following winners!
- 1st place Non-fiction/Personal Narrative Writing Competition – Kansi Udochukwu
- 1st place Chemistry I Team: Brandon Burgess, Nickolas Tilley, Rebekah Oaks, and Faith Williams
- 3rd place Chemistry I Team: Jake Weekly, Jacob Hoffman, Matthew Lee, and Esther Kim
- 1st place Chemistry I Individual: Brandon Burgess
- 2nd place Chemistry I Individual:Nickolas Tilley
- 1st place Chemistry II Team: Kaiyi Jiang, Frank Pornsopin, Trevor Pitney, and Nick Wu
- 2nd place Chemistry II Individual: Kaiyi Jiang
- 3rd place Chemistry II Individual: Frank Pornsopin
- 1st place Non-fiction/Personal Narrative: Kansi Udochukwu
- 3rd place Piano Classical – Solo: Kaiyi Jiang
In addition, The King’s Academy Music Department brought home 2nd place in the Instrumental Ensemble – Jazz Bands/Combos competition with “Shut Up & Dance” and 1st place with “Counting Stars.”
