Students who attend The King’s Academy are expected to follow a rigorous academic track that meets or exceeds the requirements for admissions to most major universities.
International students must complete two years of study in regular English that takes them through the equivalent of English 11 (junior-year English). A student who achieves a score of 550 or higher on the Test of English as a Foreign Language, or a comparable score on a nationally recognized standardized test, shall be determined to have met this requirement.
Students are encouraged to plan their academic programs according to college preparatory standards. These standards are designed to exceed the entrance requirements at the University of Tennessee. Since college and university admission requirements vary greatly, individual college and university catalogs should be consulted.
In addition to the course requirements, a student must have an approved attendance and conduct record. The academy reserves the right to refuse a diploma to a student whose conduct record is unsatisfactory and who, in the opinion of the academy, as a graduate, would poorly represent the academy.
