Inaugural Hall of Fame Recognitions to Highlight Homecoming Weekend
The inaugural class of TKA’s Hall of Fame inductees will be introduced during a special ceremony to be held in Woody Auditorium as part of Homecoming 2026. Academy President Dr. Fred Eaves will make the presentations Friday afternoon, October 16. The program is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
Dr. Eaves announced the establishment of the Hall of Fame and Alumni Awards during the April 2026 quarterly meeting of the academy Board of Trustees.
“This annual celebration will serve as an opportunity to honor individuals whose lives and contributions have advanced the mission of The King’s Academy,” Dr. Eaves stated. “I believe it will also inspire current and future generations to live lives of Christian faith, excellence, leadership, and service.” Dr. Eaves anticipates that the Hall of Fame will quickly become recognized as one of the highest honors bestowed by the Academy.
Nominations for the 2026 awards must be received by September 11, 2026, and may be submitted by alumni, faculty, staff, parents, students, trustees, or friends of the Academy.
Candidates may be considered for Hall of Fame induction posthumously. Posthumous nominees shall be evaluated using the same criteria and standards as all other candidates. The Selection Committee may consider the historical significance of the nominee’s contributions, leadership, service, and impact on The King’s Academy.
Hall of Fame Categories
Alumni Hall of Fame (up to five inaugural year, up to three annually thereafter) – Recognizes alumni whose achievements, leadership, service, and character have brought honor to The King’s Academy
Criteria:
- Graduated at least ten years prior
- Significant achievement in their profession, vocation, ministry, military service, business, education, or community leadership
- Exemplary character, leadership, and integrity
- Positively reflected the mission and values of The King’s Academy
- Meaningful support of or connection to the Academy
Athletics Hall of Fame (up to five inaugural year, up to three annually thereafter) – Recognizes former student-athletes and coaches who have made extraordinary contributions to TKA athletics and have demonstrated excellence in achievement, leadership, and character
Criteria (Student-Athletes):
- Attended or graduated from TKA at least ten years prior
- Distinguished athletic achievement, leadership, sportsmanship, and character
- Positively represented TKA during and after their athletic career
- May be recognized for accomplishments achieved after graduation that bring distinction to TKA
Criteria (Coaches)
- Served at TKA minimum of five years
- Significant contributions to athletic program and student development
- Demonstrated excellence in leadership and mentorship
- Positively impacted the culture and mission of TKA athletics
Faculty & Staff Hall of Fame (up to five inaugural year, up to two annually thereafter) – Recognizes former faculty, staff, and administrators whose dedication and service significantly impacted generations of TKA students
Criteria:
- Served TKA with distinction for a minimum of five years
- Excellence in Christian education and student development
- Lasting impact on students, families, and the Academy
- Embodied the mission and values of The King’s Academy
- Widely respected for service, leadership, and influence
Distinguished Recognition Awards
Young Alumni Award (up to one annually) – Recognizes young alumni who have demonstrated exceptional achievement, leadership, service, and promise early in their careers and communities
Criteria:
- Graduated from TKA within the previous fifteen years
- Demonstrated exceptional promise, achievement, leadership, or service
- Reflects the mission and values of The King’s Academy
- Positive example to current students and fellow alumni
Distinguished Service Award (up to one annually) – Recognizes individuals whose extraordinary service, generosity, leadership, or commitment has significantly advanced the mission of The King’s Academy. Eligibility extends to current and former trustees, volunteers, donors, parents, community leaders, ministry partners, and friends of the academy.

The deadline for 2026 nominations is September 11, 2026.
Each nomination should include:
- Name of the person being nominated, including maiden name if applicable.
- Award category:
- Alumni Hall of Fame
- Athletics Hall of Fame
- Faculty & Staff Hall of Fame
- Young Alumni Award
- Distinguished Service Award
- A description of how the nominee meets the criteria for the selected award.
- The name of the person submitting the nomination and their relationship to The King’s Academy.
Inaugural Hall of Fame Ceremony
The inaugural Hall of Fame class and Distinguished Recognition Award recipients will be honored during Homecoming 2026.
