Life as a Lion
Life at TKA is shaped by faith, friendship, discovery, competition, creativity, and a community where students are known by name.
A place to belong. A place to grow. A place to become.
Being a Lion means more than attending classes. Students learn alongside people who know them, encourage them, challenge them, and help them discover how their God-given gifts can be used with purpose.
The moments that make a school feel like home.
Learning, laughter, teamwork, friendship, exploration, and shared traditions all become part of a student’s story here.
Community
Learning
Collaboration
Teamwork
Discovery
Whole-person formation, every day.
TKA is designed to help students grow academically, spiritually, relationally, and personally. These priorities shape how we learn and live together.
Faith
Growing in a personal relationship with Christ and learning to see all of life through biblical truth.
Character
Choosing integrity, compassion, courage, humility, responsibility, and Christ-like service.
Community
Being known, supported, challenged, and encouraged within a school family that values meaningful relationships.
Purpose
Discovering gifts, asking meaningful questions, and learning how God may use each student’s life to serve others.
Excellence
Giving our best in classrooms, studios, stages, fields, relationships, and every opportunity placed before us.
Spiritual formation reaches far beyond chapel.
Faith shapes how we teach, lead, serve, treat one another, and help students understand their place in God’s story. Chapel is one important rhythm, but formation continues through relationships, classroom learning, small groups, prayer, service, House time, and student leadership.
Belong to something bigger.
Middle and Upper School students belong to one of three Houses, creating smaller communities for leadership, service, competition, discipleship, and school spirit.
Agape
A community shaped by Christ-like love, service, encouragement, and care for others.
Charis
A community shaped by humility, gratitude, grace, and the freedom to encourage one another.
Logos
A community shaped by biblical truth, wisdom, conviction, and the courage to live faithfully.
Compete with purpose.
Lion Athletics challenge students to pursue excellence while developing discipline, teamwork, perseverance, leadership, and Christ-like character. The goal is bigger than a scoreboard.
Create with purpose.
Through music, theatre, and visual arts, students develop their God-given creativity, build confidence, collaborate with others, and learn to communicate with excellence.
Students have room to discover where they fit.
Some of the most important growth happens when students try something new, take responsibility, serve others, build friendships, and make memories together.
Clubs, interests & leadership
Students can discover new interests, develop skills, contribute ideas, and grow as leaders through opportunities beyond the daily schedule.
Traditions & community
Homecoming, performances, celebrations, House events, service days, and school traditions create shared experiences across the TKA community.
Shared experiences
From school-wide events to everyday interactions across grade levels, students learn that community is something they help create.
Prepared for what comes next.
Life as a Lion is ultimately about becoming the person God has called you to be. Students leave TKA carrying more than a diploma. They carry relationships, experiences, convictions, skills, and a community that helped shape them.
Come experience life as a Lion.
Walk the campus. Meet our teachers. See students learning, competing, creating, worshiping, and building friendships. The best way to understand TKA is to experience the community for yourself.
