Participation Philosophy Pays Off
4 in 5 TKA high school students compete in at least one sport.
Interim Athletic Director for 2025–2026 and High School Boys Basketball Coach Coby Jones says The King’s Academy is fulfilling its mission by encouraging students to engage in individual and team interscholastic sports.
While this is increasingly challenging as various distractions, especially technology, compete for students’ attentions, TKA is demonstrating that students benefit when they participate.
The growth in self-confidence alone is worth the investment of time and energy. Jones says 79% of students enrolled in TKA’s grades 9–12 are involved in at least one competitive sport.

Four Straight Final Fours
The Lady Lions finished 28–7, captured the regional championship, and advanced to the State Tournament Final Four for the fourth consecutive season.

- Rising junior Skylar Walden surpassed 2,000 career points.

Audrianna Hall won the District Individual Championship. Hall and Maya Jose qualified for the State Tournament in doubles.
Duncan Oshumu Tarayia finished 3rd in the 3200 meters, 4th in the 1600 meters, and 5th in the 800 meters.
Lily Knight finished 5th in the Triple Jump. Lutor Tive finished 2nd in the Triple Jump and 6th in the Long Jump.
