This Week

Building Community and Finishing Strong

October 23, 2026

Dear Parents and Students,

It has been another great week in our Middle and Upper School, and I continue to be encouraged by the energy and sense of community we are seeing among our students.

Last week’s Homecoming festivities were such a highlight. I thoroughly enjoyed watching our students participate, compete, laugh, and simply have fun together.

Looking Back

A Homecoming Week to Remember

From the dress-up days and House competitions to the football game and dance, it was great to see our students embrace the week and create memories together. Thank you to everyone who helped make Homecoming such a special experience for our students.

This week, we officially launched our clubs! This is something we have been looking forward to, and it was exciting to see students begin gathering around shared interests and passions.

Clubs Have Launched

More Ways to Connect at TKA

Clubs give our students another opportunity to build relationships, discover new interests, develop leadership, and find meaningful ways to participate in school life.

Build relationships across grade levels
Explore shared interests and passions
Try something new
Develop leadership skills

I am excited to see how these groups grow throughout the year.

Celebrating Student Gifts

TKA’s Got Talent

We also had a fantastic time at TKA’s Got Talent! What an encouraging evening of celebrating the gifts and abilities of our students. It takes courage to step onto a stage and share your talent with others, and I was incredibly proud of every student who participated.

Nights like this remind us just how many unique gifts God has placed within our student body.

As we move beyond the excitement of Homecoming and settle into the next stretch of the school year, our attention now turns toward finishing this semester strong. There is still plenty of work ahead.

The Next Stretch

What Finishing Strong Looks Like

Stay focused in class.
Remain engaged each day.
Communicate with your teachers.
Keep up with assignments.
Encourage one another.
Give your best effort.
Galatians 6:9

Keep showing up.

“Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Keep working. Keep encouraging. Keep pursuing excellence. Do not give up.

This point in the semester is a great time to remember that consistency matters. Keep showing up. Keep working. Keep encouraging one another. Keep pursuing excellence in the opportunities God has placed before you.

I am encouraged by what I am seeing in our students and excited about what is still ahead this semester. Thank you, parents, for your continued partnership and support of our Middle and Upper School community.

In Christ,

Scott Jenkins
